Joe and Connie Gerst started Knapp Creek Acres in 1992. Beginning with just a pair of Bassets, "Frank" and "Frannie," we quickly fell in love with the dogs. In 1997, Yorkies came into the picture and are now our main breed. Knapp Creek Acres is a family run facility, each doing his or her part to keep every dog healthy and happy. 

You may meet "Chin-Chin," our Shih-Tzu who is always up for a good tummy rub.   "Pippi," our Yorkie will properly welcome you in the typical terrier fashion and then
stand guard by her beloved master, Joe.

"Prince Ebony James," a Yorkie-Poo,  will give you a warm welcome as you come through the door...unless his master doesn't pick him up first! On October 14th he turned 1 year old, and is still all pup! Ebby follows Ruth around and absolutely adores her!
